Current Observations Table Explainer

The current observations table shows measured values from the most recent minute that have reached the main database. We record minute averages of each variable but these are calculated from up to 30 samples from the instruments.

Under the current temperature we show the low (L) and high (H) from the last 24 hours of the record.

Under the minute average wind speed we show the strongest single observation of wind speed that we recorded in that minute. We call this the wind gust and it's shown on the wind graphs as a cyan line. This value gives some idea of the minute to minute variability of wind speed at the site.
